Where our Lasers have been shipped

We have distributed our lasers across the UK to a variety of customers, including engineers, jewellers, manufacturers and many many more. From the North of Scotland to the South of Cornwall there is a laser in every country in the British Isles.

We are proud to add a ‘Made in Britain’ badge to each of our laser systems, each system we make is constructed in our HQ in Whitchurch, Shropshire.

Ongoing Development

We like to be at the cutting-edge of laser marking technology. Our team of engineers utilise decades of experience in laser marking to find novel solutions to complex manufacturing techniques. We aim to enable organisations worldwide to implement traditional manufacturing methods with greater efficiency and consistency using laser technology, while simultaneously bringing down manufacturing costs and increasing productivity.

COMPANY TIMELINE

1962

Roger Needham & Sons Ltd is incorporated by Roger Needham. The company becomes the UK distributor for Speedry Magic Markers

1970

We started developing and manufacturing our own range of industrial inks for coding and marking applications.

1982

Roger Needham & Sons designed and manufactured our first range of 'Ink Jet' inks for use in inkjet printing technologies.

1991

David Needham, Roger Needham's son joins the company after a career as a fast-jet pilot in the Royal Air Force.

1999

Roger Needham sadly passes away, leaving his son, David Needham, to take over the business.

2001

We started supplying inkjet printing technologies, notably continuous ink jet (CIJ).

2005

C02 coding lasers are added to our portfolio to complement our CIJ technologies.

2009

There is a significant increase in the market demand for industrial lasers (YAG and fiber) leading to the launch of our first range of industrial lasers.

2018

A strategic decision is made to manufacture all of our laser systems in the UK. We are proud to wear the Made In Britain badge.

2018

Needham Laser Tech acquires DeBe Lasers to provide R&D and manufacturing know how to design, develop and manufacture laser systems in the UK

2019

The latest range of N-Lase range of lasers is launched.
(N-Lase Desktop, N-Lase Desktop Pro, N-Lase Benchtop, N-Lase Workstation, N-Lase Integrated.)
